Skelmersdale United FC is a club on the up.
Since rejoining the Northern Premier League in 2006 after finishing runners-up in the North West Counties League, they've quickly established themselves as one of the leading clubs in the Unibond Division One North.
Skelmersdale have qualified for the play-offs for the past two seasons.
At the end of the 2007-08 season they finished in third position and reached the play-off finals before sadly bowing out with a 4-1 defeat against FC United of Manchesterin front of over 3,500 people at Gigg Lane, Bury.
Last season they went one better in the league; finishing runners-up to Durham by a one point margin with a healthy points tally of 86 which in any normal season would've walked away with the title.
Unfortunately after a long and hard season they sadly bowed out to Curzon Ashton in the semi-finals of the play-offs.
A bitter pill to swallow; particularly as Skelmersdale had lost two players to the Football League (Sean McConville - Accrington Stanley and Georgie Donnelly - Plymouth Argyle) and had done very well in all domestic and national trophies...indeed winning the Lancashire Challenge Trophy with a extra time winner against Radcliffe Borough at Leyland.
Halcyon Period ~ With two Wembley Appearances in the FA Amateur Cup Final, including a historic 4-1 victory over Dagenham in 1971, and the lifting of the European Amateur Cup several months later against Montebelluna, and with home gates in excess of 7,000, we are undoubtedly one of the countries sleeping giants. Following our ground move to the Stanley Industrial Estate, local interest is starting to increase.

AROUND THE GROUND
Perimeter advertising boards - Prices start from £250 for a advertising board depending on location.
Perimeter board advertising is a great way to raise the profile of your business locally, with sites available around the ground. With increased media coverage, and particularly television appearances this is a great way of promoting your company! Price includes 2 tickets to a Skelmersdale United Unibond League match of your choice.
Other sponsorship opportunities around the ground
We have a range of other opportunities for you to promote your business around the ground. Floodlight pylon sponsorship allows you to display your message in an elevated position around the ground, while sponsorship of our turnstiles ensures that you reach every supporter that enters the ground. Our dugouts are also available for sponsorship!
Kit Sponsorship
Beyond the first team we have junior section. Individual kit sponsorship starts from £500-00 per year. First team kit sponsorship starts from £6,000 per season.
Prices from £150
Skelmersdale United will produce over 4,000 of our new and improved match day programmes for the 2007/08 season. These will be distributed to players, match officials and sponsors, and sold to home and visiting supporters. Rates for one off adverts are available on request. All packages include 2 tickets to a United UD1N match of your choice.

The Official Skelmersdale United FC website currently attracts over 1,000 visitors a day from all over the world. Since its inception in 2001 over 200,000 people have visited the site in various guises.

Enjoy a day out at Skelmersdale United! Arrive at 2.00pm to be greeted by a Club Director. You will be taken on our ground tour before being shown into our Sponsors Lounge where you will be able to collect your complimentary match day programmes and take advantage of our complimentary drinks throughout the game. When the match starts you can either stay in the comfort of the lounge or move outside to reserved seating in the main stand. A buffet is available at half time in the lounge and after the game you will be presented with a signed Skelmersdale United football. Sponsors will be publicised at the main entrance to the ground and will also be mentioned in the pre-match public address announcements.
GUEST LOUNGE
Guest lounge match day ticket - £25
Guests arrive at 2.00pm and are shown into our hospitality lounge where you will be able to collect your complimentary match day programme and take advantage of our complimentary drinks. When the match starts you will have a reserved seat in the main stand. A buffet is provided at half time in the lounge.
Guest Lounge Season Ticket - £500
This exclusive season ticket allows you to watch every Skelmersdale United first team match, plus the benefit of the hospitality lounge, complimentary drinks, match day programme and buffet at half time as above.
